How perks unlock
Each tree has a fixed list of perks placed at level milestones (e.g. 5, 10, 25, 50, 100). When you hit the milestone, the perk is unlocked automatically and applied passively.
There is no skill point system — you don't choose which perks to take. Every perk in a tree unlocks in order as you level it.
Compact stone (mining example)
The most-used early perk is compact stone. Once you reach the milestone level in the Mining tree, every block of cobblestone you break is automatically converted to a block of regular stone in your inventory. This:
- Removes the need to smelt cobble for building.
- Triggers on the actual break event — not on pickup — so it works inside hoppers and minecart loaders.
- Respects silk touch: silk-touch a stone block and you get stone, not cobble, normally.
Mining valuable blocks
Mining a valuable block (see Economy) gives Mining XP only if you have a permission to break blocks at that location. Mining crops or chopping wood follows the same rule:
Resetting
Skills don't reset on death and don't reset between in-game days. They only reset on a full season wipe (admin-driven).
